Using phpList for your mail list

I’ve started using mail lists for my websites and was looking for a great and cheep solution. I found one with phpList.

phpList is a open source (as in free) mail list server you can isntall on the same service that you host your web sites with. The BIG advantage is with phpList, you control if users must confirm subscriptions WHEN YOU IMPORT THEM!

I have a list of subscribers that have already confirmed. I dont want to force them to confirm again. With phpList I don’t have too.
