God And Country

God and Country is a religious study program with awards used by Protestant and Independent churches. The award is given by the church and recognized by the Boy and Girl Scouts. The program is open to Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Camp Fire boys and girls. It also open to Sunday School students.

• God & Me (Grades 1-3)
• God & Family (Grades 4-5)
• God & Church (Grades 6-8)
• God & Life (Grades 9-12)

Scouts that complete the program will be awarded a medal and a knot for their uniform. If they already have the knot, they will receive a pin to put on the knot. Parents can participate as mentors and receive an award too! (but no knot)

Earning the Religious Emblem knot also counts toward achievements. Earning the God & Me knot meets Bear requirement #2. Earning the God & Family knot satisfies Webelo requirement #8. For Boy Scouts, having the God & Church or God & Life emblem is a requirement to be a Chaplain's Aide.
