About Derek.

I married a wounderful woman in June of 1989 and we have 5 beautiful children - four boys and one girl. She's second in line.

I've been active in scouting since 2001, when my oldest son started Webelos II at Pack 994 in Woodstock, Ga. I became his Asst. Den Leader and when he earned his Arrow of Light and crossed over to Troop 994, I crossed over with him as Chaplain. I spent a few years just in Boy Scouts until my second son started scouts in 2003. I went back to the Pack and became Pack 994's Den Leader for Den 10 starting with Tigers. Den 10 crossed over in Spring 2008 with 9 boys earning Arrow of Light. During this time, my third son started as a Tiger in 2005, my wife started the journey with him. In the fall of 2008, my fourth son will start as a Tiger.

In 2002, I started teaching the God and Country program at Hillside UMC. Each year I have taught about 30-40 students.

I'm a IT project manager and IT Infrastructure consultant working at CSC . I graduated from Georgia State University's Professional MBA program in December 2007. The first PMBA Class at GSU.
